PS3 Clock issues

I tried to sign on to PSN on 2/28/2010 at about 8 pm that’s roughly 1 am GMT the next day. I was presented with an error 8001050f code and a message that trophies could not be synced. Due to the nature of my internet connection (Verizon Wireless) I decided to try again and a third time, i then cycled my network gear and modem. After waiting on them to reboot I tried again with the same result. I decided to check the internet to see if it worked from the PC and then search for the particular error code. What I found was that the older “FAT” models of the PS3 were having issues connecting to PSN and even playing single player games.

It turns out that Sony has a flaw in their leap year calculation that most any first year CS student could probably write in any number of languages. The problem “corrected” itself the next day when the internal hardware clock decided that 2/29/2010 was over. Please Sony fix this.
